Location
The Cove Campground
Address: 980 Cove Road Gore, VA 22637; Camp VI (6) – follow the main camp road, stay to the left at the fork, keep driving until you see Land Cruisers.
Dates
October 23-25, 2026
Note: The earliest arrival available is the afternoon of October 21 (camping/driving fees apply by day). A small group of members will be there from Wednesday night if you would like to wheel on Thursday.
CLCC Event Registration:
$60 – This fee is per registered vehicle and includes: raffle ticket, event T- Shirt for drivers, stickers, sponsored cup, welcome games, and dinner on Saturday night before the raffle (burgers, hotdogs, and chips).
- Registration will be limited to 120 drivers/wheeling rigs
- This is an Open TLCA event so all Toyota 4×4’s are welcome
IMPORTANT! The Cove Camping and Land use fee:
The camping and land use fees will be paid directly to The Cove Campground when you arrive at the main entrance. They are per person costs for off-roading and camping. This is a family owned property, please do not pass the gate without payment, even if you arrive late, please call the number listed.
The fee will be based on your DAY OF ARRIVAL. You will be charged the fee listed below, regardless of what time you show up at the entrance gate. There will be a sign at the entrance to remind you of these fees.
- $260 per person for (10/21) Wednesday arrival
- $195 per person for (10/22) Thursday arrival
- $130 per person (10/23) Friday or (10/24)Saturday arrival
- There will be no tax added.
Note: If you are surprised by the pricing, this essentially amounts to $65pp/day and is inline with the cost for an event of this size held at Rausch or AOAA, when factoring in travel, usage fees and camping costs. The major advantage here is the entire event is held at the trailhead, where you can “wake-up and wheel”. We are the only group event that weekend, and have the full 3,000+ acre property of some of the best trails in the east coast – It’s worth it!

Check-in:
When you arrive at the campground entrance, inform the attendant that you are there for the CLCC Fall Crawl event. There will be a sign. Once you have paid the event fee, you will be given wrist bands and two papers:
- The Cove Ticket – IMPORTANT! This must remain in the vehicle for the duration of the trip and must be returned upon leaving the property. They will also give each driver a wrist band.

Getting there, Gas, and nearby stores:
We will all be coming to Fall Crawl from different directions and it is impossible to map every route to the Cove, as there are many ways to get to the main turn off from US-50. The majority of attendees will likely be traveling I-81 and turning on to US-50W right around Winchester. We encourage you to preview your route online prior to getting on the road and download the route – you will likely loose cell phone reception as you arrive at The Cove.
Getting off US-50 in Gore, and the first few turns can be very tricky and you MUST PAY ATTENTION, or you will wind up traveling a few dead end roads (particularly frustrating for those of us towing our rigs). The road from US-50 to the campground turn off (Rte 704/ Back Creek Rd), is fairly narrow and very windy. It can be difficult to pinpoint the turn for the access road to the Cove campground, especially in the dark. For reference, there is also a Boy Scout Camp (Camp Rock Enon) at the same turn off. You will actually drive through the Boy Scout camp on the way to the Cove. The access road is predominantly gravel and dirt, and can be rutted and rough and steep in spots (I’m talking to you, trailer queens)
There is a Super Walmart and fast food restaurants on US-50, JUST West of the intersection of US-50 and VA-37 for your last minute provisions. Lastly, there are several gas stations along US-50W and the Gore Grocery, at the turn off from Gore Rd onto Rte-718, looks to have ethanol free gas.
